Science & Math are Everywhere
Have a question about science?
Wondering how rainbows are formed, how rockets make it out of the atmosphere,
or how the Northern/Southern lights illuminate the sky?
Click "Get In Touch" to send me a message and I'll get back to you with some tasty information!

Curious about the world around you?
Want to see through the eyes of a theorist?
Check out my blog below!
I occasionally post discussions (and notes) related to interesting problems not typically found in textbooks.
If you send a question, I may include it in the blog along with my response and any extra notes.

TUTORING SUBJECTS
Please contact me if you're interested in tutoring, online or in-person.
Availability varies. Rate depends on subject and other details.
PHYSICS
Since 2008
Being my main subject, physics is close to my heart, and the area where I have the most depth of knowledge. I can help you understand everything from introductory kinematics to advanced quantum mechanics of molecules and materials.
MATHEMATICS
Since 2008
Mathematics is a very interesting and deep subject in its own right, and its connections to the world around us (including physics) make it even more interesting and varied. Being trained primarily as a theoretical physicist, I can help you understand any part of math you may encounter:Â from algebra to probability to differential equations and beyond.
CHEMISTRY
Since 2017
Chemistry is deeply connected to the physics of atoms and molecules, and the electrons in them. Although not my primary subject, I am quite familiar with general chemistry, partly due to my specialization within physics (materials). I can help you understand orbitals, electron structure, acid/base/pH rules, and other topics from general chemistry.
PROGRAMMING
Since 2017
It may or may not be obvious, but the scientific community uses programming tools to simulate many different situations. My experience within physics has mostly been with languages like Matlab, Maple, and Mathematica. I also have experience with (in increasing order) Fortran, C/C++, and Python. I also am very familiar with the PDF typesetting tool, TeX/LaTeX. I can help you understand syntax, data structures, objects, loops, and more.
